Ohne Melancholia Estatica direkt mit den Schweden von damals vergleichen zu wollen, all das, was "Dance of December Souls" ausgemacht hat, tritt in Grundzügen auch bei diesem Album in Erscheinung. Und nach mehrmaligem Hören klingt das Debütalbum immer besser und für weitere Alben ausbaufähig. Melancholisch depressiver Black Metal hat einen weiteren Namen: Melencholia Estatica.”
