Amerikanische "Christen"

Wenn ihr euch schon über die sogenannten Christen in der Schweiz aufregt, dann empfehle ich euch, einige Zeit in Indiana zu verbringen

Folgendes Mail, das ich vor ein paar Tagen von meiner damaligen Gastfamilie in den USA erhalten habe, möchte ich euch nicht vorenthalten.

PS.....habe die "Missionars"-Familie dann ziemlich schnell gewechselt..(3 Mal pro Woche in die Kirche zu gehen, war mir dann doch zuviel des Guten ) warum die mich bis heute im Verteiler haben, kann ich mir auch nicht erklären....

Friends,

I don't believe I have EVER passed these types of things on before. However, after reading it, I was convicted to pass it on. We Christians keep our mouths shut so much these days and let our rights get revoked. Soon it will be illegal to worship our Lord, or pray in public as a family in restaurants, if we don't say something!

"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.. for it holds the power of salvation...and to change lives.."

Lets not be ashamed of our Lord, nor should we sit by while the ACLU and other liberal organizations pick away at what is God-given; Our right to praise our Creator and Lord!

Am I the only one, or do you see God slowly taking his hand of protection from our country because of the things we are doing and allow to happen (such as gay marriage, abortion, etc)?

"If my people, which are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray.. then I will hear from heaven, answer them, and heal their land"

I pray that God will not take away his hand of protection from our Country!

My father always called Jeremiah 33:3 "God's phone number", which rings so true. It says,
"Call unto Me (pray) and I will answer, and I will show you the great and mighty things which you do not know about!"

We are commanded by God to pray to him for many reasons: for direction or advice, for healing when sick, for forgiveness, for confession, for help in time of need, to give him praise and thanksgiving, on behalf of those we know, etc.. No one can ever take away this right, however they can try and keep us from doing it publically. Let's not stand on the sidelines and watch!!

Our country needs God in it, not driven out of it!

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, by school Principal, Jody McLeod.

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games, to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."

Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate lifestyle," and if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem...

I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology."

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it "enlightenment."

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to Bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical... I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time

"However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask HIM, in the name of JESUS, to Bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray.

They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!

The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America - the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under GOD."

Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD that HIS remnant remains!

JESUS said, "If you are ashamed of ME before men, then I will be ashamed of you before MY FATHER."

If you are not ashamed, pass this on.

Da muss ich dir ebenfalls zustimmen! Allerdings habe ich auch sehr viele wirklich nette Menschen kennengelernt. Und die Landschaften sind zum Teil einfach atemberaubend. Also ich bin nach wie vor der Meinung, eine Reise durch das "Land of the free" (hahaha...) lohnt sich allemal.

Wow, mir war noch gar nicht bewusst, dass ein Footballspiel (sic!) gleichzusetzen ist mit Verhütung, der Abtreibung, der Aufklärung über die Natur und warscheinlich lehrreichen Informationsfilmen/Dokumentationen.

Eines muss man den Jesusfans ja lassen. Gute Polemiker sind sie allemal.
Und die Orthodoxen haben ja nicht mal so unrecht, wenn sie Schwulenehen verbieten wollen.

Aber es gibt auch hier Familien, in denen Jesus so hochgehalten wird, dass ihm schwindlig wird. Ich hab in Bayern schon CSU-Leute getroffen, die dem in nichts nachstehen.
Die Blüten, die es in Amerika treibt, auch in Bezug auf die politische Meinungsbildung, sind einfach nur sonderbar. Aber logisch, wenn man bedenkt, dass es in USA kein Vereinsleben wie in Deutschland gibt und sämtliche Volkswillen zuerst in der Kirche verkündet werden.

Aber ich find das alles nur temporär schlimm.
An der nächsten Christenverfolgung mach ich auch mit...

Du musst nur nicht in die Südstaaten gehen. In New York oder allgemein im Osten der USA sind die Christen nicht gross anders als in der Schweiz oder in Deutschland.

Hast du dort mal gelebt? Ich empfand dieses dreiste christliche Selbstverständnis und Manifestationsbedürfnis während meiner Zeit in Boston, Rhode Islands und New York (State) als mehr als bedrückend. Beim Grenzwechsel rüber ins kanadische Ontario wurde die allgemeine Stimmung wieder wohltuend säkulär.

Während meines Studiums in England hatte ich eine paganische Mitbewohnerin aus Pennsylvania. Nicht unbedingt eine subtile Änhängerin des Asatru, mehr so eine Mischung aus Hippie, Geschichtsfan, Kräuterfee und Anti-War-Stricktante. Die hat mir mehrfach erzählt, dass man sie in ländlichen Gegenden Neuenglands wohl heute noch gerne als Hexe verbrennen würde. Andererseits war sie selbst so charity-mässig drauf, dass sie problemlos in jeden betenden Gutmenschenverein an der Ostküste gepasst hätte, inklusive Klingelkasten für die Unterstützung Israels und selbstgebackenen Cookies.

Allerdings ist er auch ein ziemlicher Amerika-Fan.

Ich erinnere mich an eine Geschichte, die mir ein Kumpek erzählt hat, der mal ein Jahr in den USA war: Er ging zum Friseur und sagte ihm, was er wollte (Haareschneiden halt), der sprach ihn auf seinen Akzent an. Mein Kumpel gab zur Auskunft, aus Deutschland zu kommen, woraufhin der Friseur unter die Theke deutete und mit einem Grinsen eine Schrotflinte zeigte. "Zur Verteidigung" sagte er.
Mein Kumpel war dann doch leicht erschrocken udn sagte, dass das in Deutschland verboten wäre, man hier eben nicht an solche Waffen käme und die Gesetze dafür wesentlich strenger seien. Daraufhin der Friseur:" Naja, ihr habt in Deutschland aber auch nicht so viele drecks Ni**** wie wir hier"

tja Leute ich bin grad zufaellig in den USA zwar nicht in Indiana aber in Connecticut an der Ostkueste. Was mir zu dieser Mail einfaellt ist: fascist bigots!!!!!! Solche Bastarde sollte man kreuzigen, wenn sie Jesus schon so geil finden. Ich war letzte Woche auf dem time square in NY und da waren so 2 alte Saecke die ein Schild mit: Only Catholics get to heaven hatten. als ich dann mit meinem Mayhem Shirt vorbeiging hab ich es richtig genossen wie sie angeekelt auf die umgedrehten Kreuze schauten.
