Chaotic and crude, raw and unrefined, the immense tracks on 'Imperium Magnum Infernalis' boast genuine obscurity rooted in uncompromised integrity and afforded breathing space by a subtle, opaque production. The black blending of strangulated screams, swarming guitars and demonic drums captures a supreme tone of spiteful discipline and intrinsic iniquity. Evil, wicked and malicious, Mord reflects the base aspects of humanity, emitting darkness and dejection in His name. Cloaked in authenticity and featuring a cameo from Malefic of Xasthur and the original, slightly remastered demo tracks (without keyboards), this is cold, primitive Satanic devotion in its purest form.

On The Streams Of The End, OCTOBER FALLS re-materialises in a bolder incarnation, presenting a fiercer face that casts the Finnish one-man act in a revealing new light. While traces of a glorious acoustic past remain palpable, OCTOBER FALLS embellishes trademark orchestral folk with a harsher edge, infusing majestic compositions with unprecedented menace smothered in an atmosphere of forlorn tragedy. The second mini album from Mikko Lehto comprises four sorrowful laments closely themed to fashion a 22-minute expression of absolute despair. Lush tones create a morose mood, while the cold manifestations drift slowly, reverberating off wistful woodland and caressing fecund foliage in some dark, wintry forest at the heart of the Great North. The songs are suffused in diversity and dynamic, sometimes serene and soothing but also generating sensations of inconsolable grief, tortured anguish and utter desperation. From the cold lands of Finland Vordr bring us another offering, this time as a full length album, filled with cold and misanthropic Black Metal. The songs are mainly played in the primitive vein and provided by a great old school feeling. The hymns vary from fast speed up to slower speed, get provided by a rough guitar sound and a great rhythm feeling. The less tempo moments offer dragging guitars as well as stirring and melancholic sounding riffs. Specially the sick, despaired screamed out vocals give the songs a great morbid and distressed atmosphere.
